Dead hearts who still whisper I love you

I hallowed out the eyes

Where love

Caused Corrosion in my veins

I skimmed the fat

Of clogged hearts

Hoping to digest a love

Grown organically

Instead of being drowned

By the pesticides of our generation

I filled my mind

With smoke

Of metaphors

Of how I tasted Love

Till It burned my mind

But I come undone

Unraveling in

soaked blood sheets

Of hundreds of hearts

Washed up onto my pillowcases

Despite feeling numb

Every time Love

Touches my lips

My mouth burns

realizing I believed in love

Meant for another life

Eventually,

it all comes undone

Eventually everyone settles over dead hearts

In this smoke filled room

Part 2

Another dose of heartbreak
As if you don’t remember the first time..
So you look back and think about
The time you were first in love
And the images seem so clear
Almost as if you’re still together.
So you take another dose of
An empty bottle of happiness
And text the one that started it all.
It all seems so easy.. you confess
Your faults, your misfortune
Of these repetitive mistakes of
Falling for assholes.
But in hopes you wait for those
Sweet nothings.. Such as, you’re a great person
You deserve more..
So then these sweet nothings become a habit
And you gorge away at your first loves mind
To try and steal back the love you once had.
The constant starvation of wanting
That love that made you feel
Like the only girl she ever saw.
But it’s to late now.
your love Has moved on..
But instead of Letting go of once was yours,
You make bigger mistakes
Continuously so that you can
Feel your first loves arms of security.
So that you can pretend
That they are yours once more.
So I remind myself of first love heartbreak
And I tell myself to put it on the shelf
Hidden behind some books
So that it can dusty, so that it can be
Hidden from eyes view..
Because heaven forbid the first love
Is unfinished, the bottle still half full..
One sip and it’s over.
One sip and you’ll be drunk on
A bottle of aged love for years to come.
